How to join OSEL?
Short auditions are organised at the start of each term to allow the conductor to best place musicians within the sections. You will be asked to play:
- a short excerpt of your choice,
- an excerpt we will provide 1 week before the audition,
- your good mood,
- in front of the conductor and the Konzertmeister, not the full orchestra.
What is OSEL?
The Louvain-la-Neuve Student Symphony Orchestra (aka OSEL) is:
- A rehearsal every Tuesday evening
- A weekend rehearsal per term
- 2 concerts at the Aula Magna each year
- An international tour every 2 years
- Ambitious programmes with professional soloists
- Plenty of friends to share your love of classical music
